Modify Affected Sub System

Explanation

In a change source, you may identify that sub systems require modifications. Sub-systems are used to group configuration slots that make up a functional system of an assembly; they do not correspond to physical components.

To edit an existing sub system, assign a change source to the affected sub system, and in the Affected Sub Systems tab, edit information as required.

Note: When using IFS Cloud ATCM to modify a configuration hierarchy, you must not use IFS Maintenix to modify it as well, as this will cause data corruption errors.

Prerequisites

• The assembly must already exist in IFS Maintenix.
• The system must already exist in IFS Maintenix.
• The sub system must already exist in IFS Maintenix.
• The status of the change source should be InProgress or New.

System Effects

• The sub system is modified as required.
