Use this function to calculate the latest purchase price for a selected part or the average purchase price.
This activity has the following prerequisites:
This action will calculate the latest purchase price or the average purchase price and update the values in Inventory Part Unit Cost page.
Note: If the Primary Supplier is enabled in the Calulate Purchase Costs page, the calculation is performed only for the purchase parts with a primary supplier checked. Here the calculation will only consider the prices of purchases connected to the primary supplier. Also if the Primary Supplier is enabled and if the purchase part does not have any primary suppliers, then the calculation will exclude such parts.
The currency rate valid for today will be taken from the Currency Rates page in order to calculate the Latest Purchase Price and Average Purchase Price. However, after invoicing the currency rate will be taken from the supplier invoice for this calculation.
