Override Default Cost Template for Cost Set

Explanation

Use this activity to override the default template assigned to the part cost group for a specific cost set.

This activity allows you to use alternative cost templates for different cost sets. Multiple cost reiterations and alternative versions can then be calculated and viewed, including 'what-if' scenarios.

This activity can be performed from the Part Cost Group tab Override Template/Cost Set page.

Prerequisites

This activity has the following prerequisites:

• A part cost group must exist.
• Cost sets must be defined.

System Effects

As a result of this activity

• The system defines the cost template which is to replace the default assigned to the part cost group.
• Multiple cost reiterations and alternative versions can be calculated and viewed, e.g., 'what-if' scenarios.
