Release Part Configuration Revision
Explanation
Use this activity to release a part configuration revision. This makes
the revision completely visible in the system and allows it to be used in
sales, planning and manufacturing. All editable attributes can still be
changed, the characteristic record can be modified and the characteristic
and characteristic options can be added as well as deleted.
Prerequisites
- A part configuration revision in status Tentative
or Test must exist.
- The phase in and phase out dates of the revision may not overlap
with another released revision for the same part.
System Effects
- The status of the part configuration revision is changed to
Released. This allows the revision to be used in sales,
planning and manufacturing.
