Use this activity to create a Defense Agency Set-up. This page provides the option to define which customers that are Agencies. It is also possible to define the Agency/Customer as an Administering Agency. The purpose with this basic data page is to support the filtering of Agencies/Customers correctly when entering the stakeholder data for a defense order.Contracting Office is a person who can bind the Federal Government to a contract. This is limited to the scope of authority delegated to the Contracting Officer by the head of the agency. If a record is defined as an Administering Agency then the agency is a 4-digit code, meaning that the list of value will only contain Customers with an ID no longer than 4 digits. Contracting Office is a 3- or 4-digit Office Code. If an Administering Type is set to DCMA/ONR/Other it is mandatory to define a Contracting Office, else it is optional. The contracting officer is responsible for coordinating periodic deliveries and any changes from the purchase request to the contract.
