Define Location Details
Explanation
To find the correlation with weather with parts demand pattern, the
machine learning engine requires the location detaills on base flows. This
will be used to capture the historical weather pattern on the location and
then to derive a forecast based future weather predictions. Entering of
location information can be performed through two ways,
- Using the Manage Location dialog
- Once a base flow is selected on a machine learning enabled
server, the Manage Location command will be visible on the page.
This command will open up a dialog to manage Latitude and Longitude
information. Use this option if you already have the longitude and
latitude information at hand. Otherwise, it would be benificial to
use attachment panel functionality to enter location details.
- Using the Attachment Panel
- It is possible to enter the location details either through a
dialog or a map from here. The map will consist of mouse menus to
add/remove locations.
Note: Only one location can be setup per forecast flow.
And it will be the default map position for the record.
Prerequisites
- Demand Plan Server should enable machine learning. This can be found
in Demand Plan Server/General tab.
- If using the attachement panel functionality to enter the location
details, then not only Demand Plan Server should be marked as Enable
Machine Learning but also MapPosition service should be enabled for
ForecastFlow logical unit in ObjectConnections.
System Effects
- Latitude and Longitude details will get added to the forecast flow.
The selected location would be the default map position location for
forecast flow record.
