Define Alternate Part Revisions
Explanation
Use this activity to define which revisions of alternate parts are interchangeable
with each other. You can copy lines from another engineering part revision or
from the part catalog, or you can enter lines manually.
Prerequisites
- The relationship between primary and alternate parts must have been
set up on the
Alternate
Parts tab of the
Part page.
- Both the primary and alternate part must have an engineering part revision.
- IFS/Vehicle Information Management must have been installed.
System Effects
The specified part revisions are allowed to replace each other in a serial
structure.
