Report Mode Help Guide]
Report Options
This page provides an overview of the report options available in IFS Business
Reporter. The report options are defined in Design Mode and in Report mode the
options dialog can be used to display current settings. The options are grouped
into categories and can be found in the Report Options dialog started frin the
IFS Business Reporter ribbon.
NOTE: that the dialog also can display some additional execution options,
options that by default should always be selected to get best transfer performance
and memory usage as well as the best possible report rendering. To see these
options, use the key stroke <Right Click> <Right Click> <Right
Click> <Left Click>
Execution
Options under this category controls execution, caching and display behaviour.
Execution Options
Options under this sub category controls the execution behavior.
- The Disable Execute in Report Mode
check box indicates that it is not possible to execute a report from Report
Mode.
- The Enable IN Clause Optimization check
box indicates that Business Reporter will try to optimize similar statements
using conditional operators "IN" or "=".
- The Enable Multiple Filter Criteria Optimization
check box indicates that Business Reporter will try to optimize similar
statements containing many attributes using operators "IN" or "=".
Cache Options
Options under this sub categeory controls the cache behaviour.
- The Show Cache Dialog Always indicates
if the cached data dialog should appear or not, but the caching option is
only of interest in Design Mode.
Display Options
Options under this sub categeory controls the display behaviour.
- The Treat Null as Zero check box indicates
whether a report is designed to display null values as zero. If the report
has been designed with this option selected, then the executed report will
replace all null values with zero.
- The AutoFit Column Width in End User Mode
check box indicates whether the width of columns in the report would automatically
adjust to display the full column value or not. The option applies to all
design sheets.
- The Show Report Item Name check box
indicates that a display item should show its name instead of the technical
identity.
Save and Publish
Options under this category controls save and publish behaviour.
Save/Publish Options
Options under this sub category controls save
and publish behaviour.
- The Remove Connection to IFS Business Reporter
when using BR Execution Server check box indicates if IFS Business
Reporter should be removed/unattached when the report is processed by the
Business Reporter Execution Server.
- The Convert to PDF when ordering through IFS
Applications check box indicates if a IFS Business Reporter ordered
via IFS Reporting should open up as PDF. If the Business Reporter Execution
Server is used to process the report, then a PDF report will be entered
int i the Report Archive.
Writeback
Options under this category controls Writeback
behaviour.
Writeback Setting
Options under this sub category controls Writeback
specific settings.
- The Allow Complete Writeback check
box indicates if complete Writeback is allowed/enabled.
- The Allow Modified Writeback check
box indicates if modified Writeback is allowed/enabled.
Writeback Options
Options under this sub category controls Writeback
specific behaviour.
- The Writeback Zero Values check box
indicates if Writeback cells containing zero should be written back.
- The Writeback NULL Values check box
indicates if Writeback cells containing null (empty cells) should be written
back.
Debug Options
Options under this category are related to
debug.
Debug Options
Options under this sub category specifies
options related to debug of a IFS Business Reporter report.
- The Request/Response check box indicates
if the Debug section in Document Actions in Report Mode will contain information
about sent client request and returned server response.
- The Data Set Information check box
indicates if the Debug section in Document Actions in Report Mode will contain
execution statistics as well as information about built data sets.
- The Display Dataset Info Before Executing
check box indicates if the DataSet Info
button in Debug section in Document Actions in Report Mode will contain
execution statistics for all processed server data sets.
