Employment Period

An employment period defines the start and end dates of an employee-employer relation. Even if there is a continuous period of employment, there can be several employment periods. 

The employment period information is used to calculate the years of service of an employee. 

If the following information is changed, a new employment period will be required. They are: Employment Type, Degree of Occupation, or Agreement.

Depending on the user preferences, company policies, etc., changes of other information (which are not date effective) can require a new employment period. 

The employment period information is used in locally developed features that deal with job security. In such an environment, it is important to keep the correct employment information. 

The Employment Periods page displays the employment history of an employee, relating to any company in the database. The employment history of a person is displayed regardless of the employee number or the company to which he or she belongs.
