Modify Employee Base Salary
Explanation
Employee base salary can be modified in two places in IFS Cloud: using
the Compensation tab in
Employee File and Employee Salary Information
page. Only the the Base Salary records can be modified.
The following employee base salary modification methods
are available:

% Change: If this option is selected the current
salary will be chnaged by the entered percentage. The value can be
negative or positive.

Amount Change: If this option is selected the
current salary will ne changed by the entered amount.The value can
be negative or positive.

Full Time Amount Change: If this option is
selected the amount entered will be added to the current full-time
salary amount.

New Salary or Pay Frequency - If this option is
selected a new salary amount or pay frequency should be entered.
When modifying the full time amount equivalent
the employee pay is calculated via the Degree of Occupation percentage. When
modifying via a percentage change the rounding format defined in the basic data
will be considered.
By default the salary modification effective
date is shown as the first of the following month. The salary records shown
in the list are filtered, by default the records valid as of the current
date are shown.
Prerequisites
- A base salary record should be created to view the Modify Employee
Salary feature.
- Fields like Salary Period, Pay Frequency and Currency should be
mandatorily filled.
System Effects
- The fields Change %, Change Amount
and Change Full Time Amount will be updated with the
modifications.
- The percentage and amount changes will be tracked in Salary History.
