This activity is used to assess employee performance and development as well as how the employees have accomplished objectives, activities and performance criteria at the end of the performance measurement period. The result may be exceeding set goals and objectives, meeting set targets or the need to improve the employee performance in some areas. Based on the results of the evaluation process, further decisions regarding employee development and career planning can also be taken.
Performance Evaluations allows you to view and manage performance evaluations for your employees per company and per performance period. Further Performance Evaluations - Global allows you to view and manage performance evaluations for all employees you have access to in different companies.
To perform evaluation as a supervisor or manager, you can view all ongoing evaluations for your employees in Performance Evaluation under Ongoing Evaluation section. Select the employee you would like to evaluate. You are able to change the status of the employee's evaluation. The different statuses are Initial, Ongoing and Complete. Start, Complete and Reset options control the status of the entire evaluation.
Selecting the Detail option will guide you to Performance Evaluation Details of the employee. Select the respective objective, activity or general performance you would like to evaluate and then select the Supervisor Review option. This will guide you to the Supervisor Review assistant with three sections (Supervisor Review, Self Review, Objective/Activity/General Performance Detail). You can input ratings in the Supervisor Review section. Self Review section displays the review done by the employee. The details related to the objective, activity or general performance will be showing in Objective/Activity/General Performance Detail section.
Enter the rating for the employee's objective in the Evaluator Rating field. The rank of the rating will show in the Score field. If the Use Activity Rating option was selected for the respective objective, the score will be calculated using the summary of the activity ratings.
In the Evaluation Remark field, enter any information you may have relevant to the objective. This may be any piece of information related to the manner in which the objective has been completed or the operational environment in which the employee has performed.
Manage Status allows you to change the status of the objectives, activities or general performance. This option will update only the status associated with objectives, activities or general performance and not the overall status of the employee's evaluation. You will be able to change the status of objectives, activities or general performance separately or using All Statuses to update the status all at once. Once the status of all objectives, activities and general performance have been updated to Completed, you can change the overall status of the evaluation by selecting the Complete option.
To complete the Supervisor Review,
Overall status of the employee's evaluation will be updated in Performance Evaluations, Performance Evaluations - Global and Performance Summary. Performance score visible in Performance Summary is the sum of all objectives and the general performance criteria calculated based on specified weights against each of them.
