Define Sales Part for Deliverable Line

Explanation

To define a sales part for deliverable line representing an existing product item, enter a sales part in the Sales Part field in the Deliverables section. A possible primary sales part is suggested as the default value but you can select a different one if required.

If no sales part exists or if it is left blank, then the corresponding business opportunity line is created as Non-Existing Part. The estimate process considers the inventory unit of measure. In case a sales part is defined for the deliverable line then the quantity is converted to the sales unit of measure, considering the defined conversion factor, when creating the corresponding business opportunity line.

Prerequisites

 This activity requires that;

• An estimate must exists which isn’t Closed, Cancelled or Completed.
• The estimate must have a customer connected that has a version included containing a deliverable line representing a generic item.
• A sales part must exists for the existing part.
• The version included for the customer cannot be processed to Completed.
