Change Status to Active

Explanation

This activity is used to change the status from Investment to Active for fixed assets which have acquisition transactions updated from IFS/General Ledger to IFS/Fixed Assets. Imported objects receive the Active status automatically when the postings are created.

This activity can be performed by selecting the command : Active Object in Fixed Asset Objet page or Fixed Asset Objects page.

Prerequisites

Before changing the status, the following must have been completed:

• The object must have the Investment status.
• A supplier invoice or a manual voucher must have been entered for the fixed asset. The voucher must have been updated to the general ledger.
• Rotable part pool objects should be connected to a rotable pool book.
• Recognition postings from a lease contract must have been created for the fixed asset. The voucher must have been updated to the general ledger

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the object receives the Active status and the acquisition date will be updated. Depreciation proposals can be created for objects of the Normal and Right-of-Use  object type. The fixed asset status will be updated for rotable objects.
