Create Partial Depreciation
Explanation
This activity is used when an object has to be depreciated partially during
a period. For example,
- If an object is acquired during a month and it has to be depreciated
from the date of acquisition.
- If an object is to be disposed during a month and the depreciation has
to be calculated till the disposal date.
- If an object is to be split during a month and the depreciation has
to be calculated till and from the date of split.
To perform partial depreciation use Depreciate option in Books tab in
Fixed Asset Object page.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity,
- The object for which you want to create partial depreciation must be
connected to at least one book and a depreciation method.
- The object to be included in the depreciation proposal must have
Active status.
System Effects
As a result of this activity a proposal is created. The status of the proposal
will be Created.
