Release Aircraft

Explanation

You should review that all ongoing work in the work package is completed so that the aircraft can be released to service. To preview the release and release an aircraft to service, you can click Release Aircraft on the Aircraft Turn Details or Work Tasks page.

Initially before you release an aircraft, you can preview the release to see a summary of errors and warnings that might prevent the work package from being completed and/or the release to service of an aircraft. The following categories of information are displayed.

Type of information Description Impact on aircraft release
Open faults Open faults not assigned to a work package Must be assigned to the work package and closed or deferred to proceed.
Overdue faults Deferred faults for which the due date is on or before the present date and time Must be closed or deferred to proceed.

If there are no open faults or overdue tasks you can proceed to sign for release to service. If you want to sign a new release certificate, toggle Sign Release to Service (CRS) to Yes, enter a remark to complete the work package and proceed to sign for the release the aircraft. If you want to proceed with the old certificate of release to service, toggle Sign Release to Service (CRS) to No, enter a remark to complete the work package and release the aircraft to service without signing.
