Enter Inventory Information for Object

Explanation

This activity is used to enter inventory information for an object. Inventory information includes the site to which the object belongs, the physical location of the object, the custodian of the object, the physical count ID and such. This activity cannot be carried out for objects with status Planned.

 If the Physical Location Mandatory enabled on the Company / Fixed Assets tab, it is mandatory to select a value from the Object Physical Location drop-down.

If the Custodian Mandatory enabled on the Company / Fixed Assets tab, it is mandatory to select a value from the Object Custodian drop-down.

Prerequisites

Before information can be entered on the Inventory tab, the following must have been completed.

• Information must have been entered on the General tab for the object.
• A site must have been entered for the company.
• If you need to enter the object physical location it is required that an object physical location has been entered on the Object Physical Locations page.
• If you need to enter the object custodian, it is required that a person must have been entered on the Persons per Company page.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, it will be possible to create a physical count for the object.
