This activity is used to enter information on an object group in IFS/Fixed Assets. Object groups are used in queries and reports, and they also hold default base values, depreciation methods, and books. Rotable pool objects will use only depreciation methods based on acquisition value with depreciation not allowed below depreciable basis, as the default values for the Rotable pool book.
If you define a new Base Value Type in Base Value Types section click Update Objects to add user defined base values to objects connected to the object group. A date can then be specified from which the new user-defined base value is valid. A calculation index can be linked to the base value by selecting a value from the Index ID drop down. You can also enter information on that the new base value is to be initiated by acquisition value.

As a result of this activity, the object group can be used when a new object is entered. The object group then displays default values for the object.
