System Effects

As a result of this activity, information on the base value can be entered on User-defined Base Values tab on Fixed Asset Object page. A user-defined base value can be used as a calculation base in a depreciation method. However, the conditions under which the user-defined base value lines are created on User-Defined Base Values tab would differ depending on whether the Initiated by Acquisition Value field has been enabled or disabled.

Condition System Effect
Initiated by Acquisition Value field is enabled. The user-defined base value lines will be automatically created in the User-defined Base Values tab on Fixed Asset Object page when an object is activated or when the post imported transactions are completed for a newly created object. The acquisition value would be automatically generated as the base value.
Initiated by Acquisition Value field is disabled. The user defined base value lines will be automatically created in the User-defined Base Values tab on Fixed Asset Object page before the object status is Active. The base value would have to be manually updated. The proposed base value will be zero.
