Create Node

Explanation

This activity is used to create and connect a new node in a consolidation structure. A node generally represents a group of entities of which the balances should be independently consolidated. The currency code connected to the node is used to generate consolidated balances in the consolidation process.

Note: A new node can be created as a top node for the consolidation structure as well.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a consolidation structure should exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity:

• A new node is created with a connection to the consolidation structure.
• An elimination node is created in which the intercompany elimination postings are created for intercompany transactions. The elimination nodes are visible only in the Consolidation Details Analysis page.
