Connect Hazards to Risk Assessment
Explanation
This activity is used to specify the hazards that should be evaluated during
the risk assessment. Possible hazards affecting personnel and/or property in
the organization are predefined. These hazards are thereby assessed or evaluated
during the risk assessment.
Once the Hazard is defined in the Risk Assessment to calculate the risk potential
for each hazard;
- In the Probability field, select the description of the risk
likelihood from the list. The corresponding probability value shows in the
Probability Value.
- In the Frequency field, select the option specifying the frequency
of risk occurrence from the value list. The corresponding frequency value
shows in the Frequency Value.
- In the Severity field, select the description for the severity
of risk from the list. The corresponding severity value shows in the
Severity Value.
- Save the information. Note that the risk potential is calculated from
all values in the risk calculator and shown in the Risk Potential.
Prerequisites
In order to perform this activity:
- Potential hazards are required to be already defined in the Risk Assessment
Basic Data/Hazards.
- Locations and sub-locations are required to be already defined in the
Location Basic Data .
- Descriptions and values of frequency, severity and probability of risk
are required to be already defined in the Risk Potential Basic Data
.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the hazards you create will be updated on the
Hazards navigator.
