This activity is used to create sections that holds pre-postings for parts of the linear asset. Sections can not overlap each other, but two sections can be joint together on the same position. If a work order for example is created on a point where two sections meet, the pre-posting will be fetched from the section that has that position as a start point. It is also possible to update one or several marked sections with either all pre-posting code parts from the linear asset, or just the code parts that already does not have a value
The linear asset is controlled by linear asset pre-posting using the accounting rules type T55 for the linear asset and T56 for the section of the linear asset.

A linear asset must exist.
