Define Sign Off Requirements for Maintenance Event Code

Explanation

This activity is used to define sign off requirements for maintenance event codes (i.e., maintenance codes, condition limits, modification codes, life limits, fault functions, and post maintenance check definitions). The purpose of this activity is to enter the sign off requirements that will be used on a maintenance event. Valid sign off requirement types for maintenance events are Inspector and Counter Inspector. It is possible to enter information of the work to be done before sign off is performed in the Sign Off Description field.

If IFS Human Resources is installed, it is possible to specify a valid certificate for the sign off requirement on the event. When a user signs off the event, the system will validate whether he or she has the required certificate to perform the sign off. If a certificate is not specified, the identity of the user is recorded when signing off, but validations will not be performed.

Sign off requirements may be defined for maintenance event codes in the Sign Off Requirements tab found in all pages listed under the Pages section.
