Check Inventory Part Origin

Explanation

Use this page to trace the origin of a part. Part origin could be, for example, the arrival of a purchase order, a receipt of a shop order, or even manual receipts. The information displayed is inventory transactions.

The origin of a part is displayed in tree navigator by a graphical tree structure. You can only see one level of the tree structure at a time.  If the part that is traced is a parent part that uses other components in its product structure, details of the origin of the component part are displayed at the next level in the tree structure. If the part that should be traced is a component part, details of the origin of the parent part are displayed at the next level in the tree structure.  However, this also requires that the part is connected to a purchase order, a shop order, or a production schedule.

For a complete view of all levels in the tree structure, go to Part Origin tab. All inventory transactions related to part origin are displayed in this tab. For instance, if the transaction displayed is an arrival of a purchase order, a receipt of a shop order, or even manual receipts, for that specific transaction are displayed.
