Use this activity to enter and change information about by-products of manufacturing for a specific shop order. When you enter a by-product on a shop order, you enter the quantity of the by-product manufactured for each parent part.
Add a by-product by creating a new row in the Shop Order/By-Products tab. Enter the required part number and the quantity per parent quantity. Optionally the by-product can be connected to the operation where it is produced.
The status of the shop order must not be in status Closed or Cancelled.
As a result of this activity the system adds a by-product that applies only to this shop order. It does not alter the standard structure of the parent part.
