This activity is used to calculate the capacity for the work center resources on a site. You can perform the calculation for one site at a time or for all the sites to which you have access. You can also schedule this as a scheduled task. The calculation is done from the date of initiation to the date specified in the Calculation to Date field. When there is no date specified in the Calculation to Date field, the last date that an operation is scheduled with a machine requirement is considered as the calculation to date.
Use the Capacity tab on the Work Center page to view the machine capacity for the work center. To view the capacity for the work center, you should have data about the work center resources availability, efficiency and the calculated work center resource capacity for the site. The capacity is shown per work day and both as theoretical as well as available capacity. The available capacity is the theoretical capacity multiplied with the utilization for the work center.
To perform this activity, you will need to have at least one work center resource on the site and that resource needs to be available for at least one day in the time interval.
As a result of this activity, the available and theoretical machine hours capacity for work center resource stored in the database for each day is updated.
