You can directly salvage a component that is present in the actual structure received for repairing but is not listed in the as-built structure. Expand the tree structure and select the revision node of the parent part, from which you want to create a salvage part directly. In the Repair Actions section, click Salvage Part. Enter part number, quantity and a repair reason. Enter the actual values you found with the part to be salvaged for serial number, lot/batch numer, W/D/R/No and revision number. You can select a new parent part revision and add a note if needed. Finally, click OK or Apply.
Multilevel repair shop order should exist with the parent part in Reserved or Issued state.
As a result of this activity, the component defined for direct salvage is listed in the Shop Order/Salvage Parts tab and the user can receive it to the inventory as a salvage part.
