Dangerous goods are parts that have dangerous properties that can cause injury to people, damage the environment, property and other goods, if not handled correctly during transportation.
A part is defined as a dangerous good in the Part /Dangerous Goods Classification tab.. For each part, there is a proper shipping name (PSN) which is an official transportation description. The PSN is used to describe the dangerous goods in the transport documents. The PSN is always in capital letters. The description is mostly a chemical or technical name for the product.
The PSN is connected to a UN number. For one UN number, there can be more than one PSN. E.g.: UN 1263. The PSN can be either PAINT or PAINT RELATED MATERIAL.
Sometimes PSN can include N.O.S and that means the product is not otherwise specified and the user needs to identify the substances that makes the product a dangerous good.
