Compare Manufacturing Structures

Explanation

This activity is used to view the similarities or differences between two parts, or between different revisions of the same part. You can view the entire structure or just the part that has changed.

The Compare Manufacturing Structures page provides a quick check on significant differences based on the component part/site, quantity per assembly and optionally the line item no (position) without considering other differences such as component scrap, scrap factor or drawing position. Line item no is provided as an option to be considered for the comparison. This is to keep the comparison simple, especially when checking differences between different parent parts. It is still possible to see the multiple lines for the same component when the quantity per assembly is different

Note: You can compare only one level of a structure at a time.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that at least two manufacturing structures for different parts, or revisions/alternates for the same part, exists.

System Effects
