This activity is used to edit basic data for severity criteria for failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA). A severity criteria is an assessment of the seriousness of the effect of the potential failure mode to the customer. There are 10 severity criteria ranks, ranging from 1 to 10, with 10 representing the greatest severity.
Severity ranks are predefined. You can not add or delete them, although you can change their descriptions and the effects associated with them in the Severity Description and Effect Severity fields.
