View Component Where Used

Explanation

This activity is used to study in which parent parts different components are used.

Use the Component Where Used page to view the parent parts in which a component or sub-assembly is used using a single level view.

Use the Complete Where Used page to view the parent parts i which a component or sub-assembly is used by using a multi-level tree structure:

• Click Expand to show the tree structure.
• Enter the date in Valid for Date field to control what structure revisions that should be included in the tree.
• Select Buildable Structure Only to limit the tree to show only structure alternates in Buildable status.
• To view the multi-level where used structure in one list. Click Regenerate Structure on the Multi Level Where Used tab.

Prerequisites

The part must be included as a component in a manufacturing structure.

As a result of this activity, the system displays in which parent parts a component is used.
