This activity is used to view information on the operation margin (i.e., the difference between sales and cost values) of an MRO shop visit.
To view operation margins, select a position part in the graphical object structure navigator, and then click on the Operation Margin tab.
Operation margins can be viewed for a position part only or for the child positions as well. Enable the Aggregate option to view details for child positions as well. When this option is enabled, the amounts will be summarized including everything below the selected position part.
All cost categories are divided into five fixed sales categories: Material, Labor, Purchase, Other, and Fixed Price.
To view all cost lines or sales lines connected to a selected cost type click Cost Lines or Sales Lines. Cost and sales lines are generated automatically when a complex assembly service contract is applied. Cost lines may also be generated when costs are split and sales lines may be created manually on the complex assembly work order.
To view information for the sales categories, transactions must be generated for the shop order of the shop visit, e.g., consumed material, labor and purchases reported.
As a result of this activity, the difference between sales and cost values can be analyzed for an MRO shop visit.
