Create Non Conformance Report (NCR)
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new non conformance report (NCR). A non conformance is an
occurrence where a process is not followed or is not working as defined. There are
different ways of detecting non conformances, for example when carrying out
quality audits or in the daily workflow. For a business it is important to
register and act upon non conformances to ensure the business is run in
compliance with quality standards and/or other agreed processes. When creating
a NCR it is mandatory to define a description and a company.
A NCR can be created in different ways. To create a NCR from the:
- From the Non Conformance Report page: Click the
new command, enter information about the new NCR and click Save.
- From the New Non Conformance Report assistant:
Enter a description for the NCR in the Discription
step in the assistant. Either click Finish or proceed with
the next steps in the assistant in order to add additional information
before finshing.
- From an audit in the Audit
page using the New Non Conformance Report assistant:
Click Create NCR to access the New Audit
assistant. Enter a description for the NCR in the Description
step in the assistant. Either click Finish or proceed with
the next steps in the assistant in order to add additional information
before finshing.
- From a business object in the page for the business object using the
New Non Conformance Report assistant: Click
Create NCR in the Attatchments section on the
Non Conformance Reports tab to access the assistant. Enter
a description for the NCR in the Description step
in the assistant. Either click Finish or proceed with the
next steps in the assistant in order to add additional information before
finshing.
Prerequisites
- An audit must exist in order to create a NCR from an audit.
- In order to create a new NCR from a business object, the specific business object must
have been configured in the
Object Connections
page as NCR aware by a system administrator.
- There are no prerequisites to create a standalone NCR.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a NCR in the Planned
status is created.
