This activity us used to connect a fault code (in IFS/Fleet and Asset Management) to a discrepancy code (in IFS Manufacturing). Add the required connections in the Fault Code per Discrepancy Code page.
One fault code can point to many discrepancy codes. However, one discrepancy code can only point to one fault code. When discrepancy and fault codes are connected, a discrepancy reported on a shop order also generates a fault history record for the corresponding fault in the current serial.
As a result of this activity, fault history records can be created when discrepancies are reported for a serial on a disposition shop order. Only discrepancy codes with a cross-reference to a fault code are inserted.
