Delegate Full Access to Substitutes

Explanation

This activity is used to delegate all access rights of a supervisor to a substitute. Rights have to be delegated if the supervisor wants someone to perform duties that require access rights.

Access can be delegated to substitutes using Role Delegation or Delegate Roles assistant.

Role Delegation

In the Authority Granted field, select Full Access.

Delegate Roles assistant

In Delegator Information step, if you indicate the Mode as Standard, full access will be granted to the substitute Person/Employee. If you indicate the Mode as Advanced, you will be able to indicate Full Access in Authority To Be Granted field (in Delegate Information step).

Note that if you are delegating access, you can also specify transaction access. This means that a substitute can have access to ,e.g., authorize employee expenses, but you can set it so he can only authorize expenses from a certain period (longer or shorter then the length of his substitution).

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a supervisor has to have access roles assigned to him or her.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a substitute will receive all access rights of a supervisor.
