This activity is used to connect buffer adjustments to buffer profiles. Adjustments can be applied to average daily usage based on historical issues, unprotected lead time, red zone and green zone. Buffer adjustments are used when there is a need of adjusting the buffer zones or manipulating buffers to handle seasonality, product introduction or product discontinuation. Parts which use buffer profiles will be subjected to adjustments if there is an adjustment connected to the buffer profile. A part can also have a separate adjustment connected even if the buffer profile is connected to a buffer adjustment.
