Perform Lead Time Category Classification
Explanation
This activity is used to assign lead time categories for buffered parts.
Use the Perform Lead Time Category Classification
page to assign lead time categories for buffered parts. Lead time categories
assigned are based on the unprotected lead time of the part. Enter a
Site if you want to perform the calculation for all the buffered
parts in the site. If no value is entered in the Site
field, all buffered parts defined in the user allowed sites will be
considered in the calculation.
Prerequisites

Part should be defined as
buffered part.

Prior to performing this job, it is necessary to perform
the cumulative lead time
calculation in order to calculate corresponding unprotected lead time of the
parts.

Supply Type of the part should not be set as dynamic order processing
(DOP).

Unprotected lead time of the parts should have a corresponding Lead Time
Category defined in the lead time category basic data.

Unprotected lead time of the part should have a corresponding
Lead Time
Category defined in the lead time category basic data.
System Effects
- Lead Time Categories are assigned to buffered parts.
- The assigned The Lead Time Category will be displayed in the field Lead
Time Category in the Inventory Part/Planning Data/Buffer Part Attributes tab.
