Set Production Line Run Rate

Explanation

To set a date-effective daily line rate for the production line, click Takt Time, then Set Line Rate. This rate represents the planned maximum or optimum production rate total, for the parts to be produced per day. This figure is used in production schedule loading routines as a capacity figure. The line rate is also used as a display, to compare the preferred line rate to the current schedule loads, current demands, etc.

In the Set Production Line Run Rate dialog, you can compare the current run rates and phase-in dates with the average daily demand:

  1. Enter the effectivity date. The sample demand start date is used as a default value.
  2. The current line rates for the effectivity date and the phase in dates (subsequent to the effectivity date) will appear.
  3. If you want to remove the existing dates subsequent to the effectivity date, enable the Remove existing date following this dates option.
  4. Enter the Daily Production Quantity. The default value is based on the last takt time sample.
  5. Click OK.

You can remove, modify existing run rates, and enter new run rates on the Line Rates tab.
