Create Clause Types

Explanation

This activity is used to specify the different clause types used in your company. The task of entering or modifying procurement clause types should be performed by a system administrator, or equivalent personnel and should be done carefully.

Clause type controls how phrases of type clause should be rolled out, the level of flexibility given to end users to make changes and the business processes which are affected.

Prerequisites

• If phrases defined under this clause type requires approval before being active, an approval template must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity,

• A new procurement clause type is created, or an old clause type is modified.
• Clause type will be available to for connection with procurement clause phrases.
• Settings in the clause type will affect how procurement clause phrases behave in the procurement flow.
