This activity us used to update source line connections for already created active purchase orders when a new phrase revision overrides an existing phrase revision. This activity can be performed by a procurement expert.
In a case where active purchase order lines with promised delivery dates falling in this year and next exist, assume mercury content of materials brought into the site should be less than 8%. If the allowed mercury content is revised to 5% starting from the beginning of next year, this information can be included in a second revision and the propagate revision functionality can be used to update active purchase order line connections with the new revision.
To propagate a new revision to purchase orders click Propagate Revision on the Phrase Revisions tab. This will open the Propagate New Revision to Purchase Orders dialog.
In the Propagate New Revision to Purchase Orders dialog, it is possible to select which kinds of purchase orders that should be updated. Available settings that can be enabled are Update Released Purchase Orders, Update Shared Purchase Orders and Update Confirmed Purchase Orders. If none are enabled, only purchase orders in status Planned will be updated. If Update Released Purchase Orders is enabled, also purchase orders in status Released will be updated. If Update Shared Purchase Orders is enabled, also purchase orders with the Shared badge displayed on the header section on the Purchase Order page will be updated. If Update Confirmed Purchase Orders is enabled, also purchase orders in status Confirmed will be updated.
The phrase revision must be in status Active.
Purchase order line connections with older phrase revisions are updated with new revision if promised delivery date of the line falls within the effective date range of the new revision.
