Review Consume Forecast

Explanation

Use this activity to review consume forecast information:

The master scheduling process is used for material with long lead times. Material is requested in an early phase of the project, by using a temporary project activity. This is done in master scheduling by creating a MS Level 1 part. The material is later transferred to the actual project activity when requested by the project deliverables process. The material transfer happens during the master scheduling process.

Material created during the master scheduling process is automatically highlighted in project deliverables, by using a Consume Forecast label. The label is found in Project Deliverables Materials and Services window:

  1. Material Requirements tab - The label Consumed Forecast is set to yes when the project deliverables part, exist as a MS Level 1 part.
  2. Material Plans tab - The label Consumed Forecast is set to yes on material plans with supply option project MRP and when the project deliverables part, exist as a MS Level 1 part.
  3. The deliverables Materials and Services in Project MRP Plan/General tab - The label for Consumed Forecast is set to yes on material plans with supply option project MRP and when the project deliverables part, exist as a MS Level 1 part.
