Issue from Inventory to Project
Explanation
Use this function to issue a quantity of a part from inventory. Issuing can
be done either manually or automatically. It is possible to issue already reserved
material and/or issue material directly from the location without having prior
reservations.
When the supply option MRP and issuing is done manually, the Issue From
Inventory dialog will display only the standard inventory records
that are available for issuing.
When the supply optionis not MRP, the dialog will display only the project
inventory records which are available for issuing. Project inventory belonging
to other projects will not be displayed.
Prerequisites
-
A miscellaneous demand line must exist.
- The quantity of the part to be issued from inventory must exist in an
inventory location for the site.
- The activity must be in status Released.
- Posting control rule M62 and cost element mappings.
System Effects
- The material is issued.
- The Issued Quantity and Issued Date are updated in the miscellaneous
demand line.
- Quantity on hand for the part is updated, i.e., the amount of the part
is reduced.
- An inventory transaction for each location is created in Inventory.
These transactions are posted with information from the
Project Setup Parameters
PrePostings tab.
- Once issued, the project material values(When Supply Option is not MRP)
in the Committed and Used columns are equal to zero. (Used
cost is only reported when receiving into project inventory, not when issuing.)
- After issuing standard material (When Supply Option is MRP) the Used
column is based on the inventory transaction value for the issue of this
part. The value in the Committed column has decreased, and reflects
the committed cost for the remaining reserved items.
Note: The progress will not be reported for the miscellaneous demand
line until the related purchase order is in the Received status. Once
it is in the received state the progress is calculated by dividing the received
quantity by the required quantity and then taking the percentage value of it.
