Create Project Correction Invoice

Explanation

This activity is used to create correction invoices for project invoices which have already been posted. The correction invoice you create will automatically reverse the postings created by the original invoice while creating a new project invoice for corrections.

When you select the option to create a correction invoice, two additional transaction lines will be created for each transaction that is linked to each invoice line. The additional transaction lines will be created in the Project Transactions window or the Invoicing Plan window depending on the source of the original transaction.

The original transaction line will be set to Corrected state. The first of the two additional transaction lines is created for the reverse transaction and it is set to Correction state. The second transaction line is a copy of the original transaction line. This transaction line will be set to Recreated state and you will be allowed to do the necessary changes on this recreated transaction. You can do modifications only when the project correction invoice is in Preliminary state.

Note: If you create a correction invoice for a project invoice created on Application for Payments using an invoicing plan, you will not be allowed to do any modifications on any of the transaction lines in the correction invoice.
