Copy Control Plan
Explanation
Once a control plan manufacturing, control
plan purchasing or control plan inventory is in the Active status, you cannot change it. If the
control
plan requires changes, you can make a copy of the control plan rather than
creating a new one with the same data.
To copy a control plan, click Copy Control Plan,
eventually update information in the Copy Control Plan dialog and click
OK.
Prerequisites
There must be an existing control plan.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a new control plan is created with
status Created, which is
a copy of an existing control plan.
- For control plan manufacturing: If you changed the Control Plan
No, Site, Part No, Part Revision,
Routing Revision or Routing Alternate fields, the copied
control plan will get a new control plan number. Otherwise, the copied
control plan will get the same control plan number with a new revision.
- For control plan purchasing: If you changed the Control Plan No,
Site, Part No, Part Revision or Supplier
fields, the copied control plan will get a new control plan number.
Otherwise, the copied control plan will get the same control plan number
with a new revision.
- For control plan inventory: If you changed the Control Plan
No, Site or Part No fields, the copied
control plan will get a new control plan number. Otherwise, the copied
control plan will get the same control plan number with a new revision.
