Define Recurring Service Program

Explanation

Use this activity to enter information required to create a Recurring Service Program using the New Recurring Service Program assistant. It is possible to define a Recurring Service Program either using a Recurring Service Package and/or a Request Contract.

To create a Recurring Service Program using a Recurring Service Package, the package should be in Active state and should be valid. If the package valid dates are empty it is considered valid always.

Request Contract can have several statuses; Planned, Active, Negotiated and Closed. However, a recurring service program can be created using a request contract in all these statuses, except in Closed status. When a recurring service program is connected to a request contract, the program validity is set by Valid From and Expiry Date of the request contract. Even though these dates are editable on the program, they are required to be inside the period defined by the Request Contract Valid From and Expiry Date.

Prerequisites

• The service organization information should exist in Service Organizations.
• The logged in user (creating the program) should be connected to the Service Organization via the Service User Group.
• The customer information should exist in Customer.
• The equipment information should exist in Equipment.
• The Recurring Service Package should exist in Recurring Service Package.
• The Request Contract should exist in Request Contract.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a recurring service program with unique program number will be created. The new recurring service program will be in the Preliminary state.
