Appointments are usually scheduled in Outlook but sometimes there is also
a need to have the appointment as a Business Activity in IFS Cloud. One reason
for that is to be able to see all activities the sales representative performs
in relation to a specific Business Opportunity or Account. If the user should
manually update a Business Activity in Aurena, that will be an extra step so
instead the outlook appointments should be synchronized automatically to IFS
Cloud.
The organizer of the appointment can use the CRM- or SRM-Panel
to manually create a sync activity. The activity will be linked to the appointment
and changes will be synchronized from Outlook to IFS Cloud. It is also possible
to link an existing activity to the appointment. A sync service will handle
changes from outlook to make sure that the linked business activity is updated.
Subject, dates/times and attendees will be synchronized to the linked Business
Activity. Changes are only synchronized from Outlook to IFS Cloud, not vice
versa, so changes to some fields in the business activity page are restricted.
