This activity is used to make the final approval on the risk analysis revision. The approval process is not mandatory but provides a controlled method for formal review following creation or update of the risk analysis. There is no functional impact as a result of approving a risk analysis.
The risk analysis should have the status Analyzed or Approval in Progress if approval steps have been defined and approved on it.
If approval steps have been defined for this risk analysis, all the steps in the approval routing have to be completed and approved before the risk analysis can be promoted to Approved status.
It is not possible to cancel approval after this approval activity has been carried out. It is only possible to reanalyze or close the risk analysis.
The Status Approved is assigned to the risk analysis.
