Use this activity to define contract types that will be used in the service contract. The contract type can be used to group service contracts Examples of such contract types include, WARRANTY and SERVICE. Open the Service Contract Basic Data page and create a new record according to the requirement.

As a result of this activity a new contract type will be created. If you set the particular record as the default contract type it will be assigned as the default contract type to all new service contracts.
