Update Employee Competencies

Explanation

This activity is used to update an employee's competency data after completing a training event.

There are competencies required by an employee according to the job assignment as shown in the Job Based Training page. When the employee has competency gaps they can be fulfilled by adding him/her to a training course. An employee can be registered directly to a training course. If the employee has already followed the training course and passed this will be indicated in the Result field.


Note: You can only update the employee's competency if the employee has already attended and passed all mandatory courses for the specified competency.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the employee is required to have attended and passed the training event.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system will update the employee's competency level by entering a new record in the Employee/Qualifications/Competencies section with the system date as the assessment date.
