A work request is a direct entry of a work order in Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, compared to the work orders that are PM-generated. This is practical when you want to facilitate the planning of the work, where for example several objects are to be repaired, or where several maintenance organizations are responsible for the work. When you create a new work request it receives the status Work Request.
A work request contains a short description on the request, information on the maintenance organization, and information on the person who entered the information.
