Appointment booking is a process which can be used to book an appointment slot for a work task based on availability, skill requirement and cost. The available time slots are found and proposed by the Appointment Booking Engine (ABE), based on the data that sent to the Scheduling Engine by a load message.
This process mainly consists of activities such as Request appointments, Modify appointment parameters, Decline appointment and Accept appointment. Following each of these activities will register an appointment for a work task consisting of appointment start, appointment end and a resource to execute the work.
